The challenge
A library for people of determination has to work for everyone who opens it: readers who need larger text, stronger contrast or the page read aloud, and staff running loans across several branches. The real catalogue lived in a spreadsheet: 1,405 books and 2,920 copies.
How we built it
We set WCAG 2.2 AA as the minimum and designed up from there: adjustable text size, strong contrast, read-aloud. We imported the full catalogue, then built search that understands Arabic spelling variants, so readers find a book however they type its name. Every loan is tracked step by step, from reservation to pickup or delivery and back, with email reminders on the way.
